Books are respected medium for gaining information and insights. They help you to think better and see bigger picture in life. They are way to learn things in fast way and know about people and things what happened to them in past.

Everything is processed in books. You can learn anything and everything from books, from sex to developing good habits, secret of getting rich to managing finance and emotions etc.

𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒕 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅 ( 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒕 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒚).

Two years ago, I started reading books. Whenever I look back to myself, I think this was the best decision and habit that I developed. Whenever I compare my old version to my present version, I feel myself unrecognizable.


Books impacted every aspect of my life. I know and understand things in better way, have knowledge about many topics of society, marketing and economics and I make better decisions in life. Here are some areas where reading books impacted me positively.


𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱


We are blessed with a mind like a monkey. As monkey who never likes to sit at a single place and tree for a moment. It keeps changing location and tree every moment.

𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆. 𝑨𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆, 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒋𝒐𝒃 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆.

But to read books you have to maintain sharp and focused mind like a monk. Without focus you will not be able to read just a page of book.

Words are most powerful tool at our disposal. You can alter views of people, change their mental landscape and can make or break them with your words.

𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒔. 𝑰𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓. 


By reading books I have come to know about many words that have same meaning but different effect on people because of perceiving and processing mechanism. Now I don’t run short of words and use best words during communication.

I have realized that Choosing right words makes person cool, calm and light up its mood and wrong words make people angry, defensive etc. so feed your mind with positive and encouraging words to improve your communication and connection in life.

Social media is one of the most common addiction among people of every age especially in youth. Most of us are not aware of it and they pay cost in form of time.


 Moreover it creates anxiety, feeling of Fomo, Fopo ( fear of public opinion), steals our happiness and make us dull and unproductive.


Reading books helped me to overcome social media addiction. I am medical student and have little time to enjoy life. When I shifted my mindset from social media to books it proved like winning a million dollars lottery. Quitting social media helped me to


. Renormalizing my brain.

. I gain control of my life.

.I became able to step out from feeling of Fomo and Fopo.

. I have more time to enjoy nature, friends company and make new beautiful friends.


𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴


Reading books give you mental stimulation. when you read books, your neuron are fired and build connection with each other to remember character and events of story. It keeps our neurons active.

When you give yourself mental stimulation and your neurons are active, your become less vulnerable to dementia, Alzheimer’s and many other mental complications.

Moreover reading books release happy hormones like dopamine, serotonin etc which increase physical as well mental well being. They lower your stress hormones also.


𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻


We humans work on rule of award or punishment. Anything that is awarded, release happy hormones is repeated over and over and things which cause punishment or uncomfortable are avoided. Reading books awards you mental well being, improved focus and develop healthy habits.

The purpose of writing this article is to share the benefits that I got by reading books and tell people that how reading books can change their life and how is it benefits for them.
